The United States Space Force … The Next Fighting Domain

An official of the Department of Defense presented President Donald Trump with the certified Space Force flag during a short Oval Office event, Friday, May 15, 2020. The dark blue and white flag includes elements intended to evoke the vast recesses of outer space.

The Space Force was established by Trump December 20, 2019 as part of the National Defense Authorization Act.  Since then, the new military branch has been met with confusion and open mockery. The 16,000 airmen and civilians that make up the Space Force technically remain part of the Air Force, which previously oversaw offensive operations in space.  Trump has made it clear he sees the newest service as critical to the future of American defense.

The flag includes a Delta Wing, long a symbol in the Air force signifying change and innovation. Dark and light shades of gray within the delta were incorporated in a nod to the nature of the space force work schedule of 24/7.

The flag features a globe for the Space Force fighter’s home turf, and an elliptical orbit around the globe was incorporated to signify the forces mission to defend and protect from adversaries and threats emanating from space.

Do we need a Space Force? According to former Ministry of Defense and UFO investigator Nick Pope, mankind is completely unprepared for an alien invasion.

Pop who has been dubbed the real-life Fox Mulder has said “If real life aliens are regarding this Earth with envious eyes – what are our plans to deal with them?”

Currently the world’s greatest minds are wrestling with a rather more tangible threat – namely the coronavirus, not only as a public health risk, but also in terms of its potential to trigger societal breakdown.

Pope said the arrival of an aggressive invasive species might bring with it a similar associated threat. He explained: “For all the talk of the extraterrestrial threat, if we faced a real-life War of the Worlds, the aliens might not be the only danger. Just as every dog is only two meals away from being a wolf, every society is only three meals away from revolution.”
