William Peters Mansion ~ Columbiaville MI

          Built in 1892, a true reflection of historic wealth and uncompromised quality, The Mansion is home to one of the most haunted places in the state. The Gentlemen’s Quarters at the inn has a strong presence that cannot be explained and there is the “lady of the house” that has been caught clearly on a photograph standing on the grand staircase. Her voice has been captured on a class A EVP that is accompanied by unexplained knockings.

Clive & Dot’s Anchor Inn ~ Houghton Lake, MI

          This 100-year-old family restaurant, lounge, and old hotel have been recording paranormal activity since the 1940’s. Said to be built on Indian land it has been home to the Purple Gang hang out and a working brothel. Investigated by members of TAPS, there is documentation of EVP’s, photos, EMF readings, eye witness accounts and full body apparitions.

Big Bay Point Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast~ Big Bay, MI

          The first lighthouse keeper [called a wickie] William Prior hired his son George to be an assistant. After working for a year he fell on the steps, succumbed to his injuries and passed away. William mourned his son and was said to have disappeared into the woods with his gun and poison. His ghost has been witnessed by many, appearing as a red haired man wandering the property.

Blue Pelican Inn ~ Central Lake, MI

          The waters of Michigan seem to intensify spectral activity. The Blue Pelican Inn sits on the northern chain of the lakes. Upon purchasing the property, the current owners investigated the history of the infamous restaurant and inn. Many unexplained noises and muffled sounds began shortly after the renovations started. There have been sightings of a small child staring out of the original dormer windows.

S.S. City of Milwaukee ~ Manistee, MI

          A railroad car ferry, the Milwaukee, is the only pre-1940’s ship of its kind to survive. Now a Bed & Breakfast museum, visitors have reported eerie, disembodied voices and apparitions. The ferry’s first captain, Stormy Jack lurks through the ship and a woman who fell from the decks has been reported to repeat the tragedy.
