Woman holding mobile phone with incoming call from unknown caller.

Those of us in the paranormal field are no strangers to odd happenings. My life in particular is full of specters and shadow men and things that go bump in the night, and I have just learned to accept that the other realm exists.

I have been feeling very emotional of late, to the point of being at the face-in-your-hands-ugly-cry kind of mood, with my soul being torn asunder. And I don’t know why. That being said perhaps it has something to do with what happened a few months ago.

It was around 9:00 pm or so and I was sitting at my desk, trying to work, but actually just trolling social media. I have a house phone ~ yup a land line sitting right beside my computer. It is primarily for business. Although it is not unusual for it to ring after the 9:00 hour, it is most unusual for it to ring eight times. I have the answer set for four. So this incoming phone call warranted my attention.

As I always do, I check the display to see if a name is displayed or if I recognize the number.  The only thing that was on the display was “Incoming Call”. Thinking it was either a wrong number or spam, I allowed it to go to voice mail. After the call was completed, I checked the voice mail to see who the caller was. There was a message, but it was so faint it was impossible to decipher.

Not long after I hung up the phone from checking the voice mail, did it ring again, eight times and again with no name or number and a very faint message.

I will have to explain what I did hear. At first there was silence, then a clicking of the phone and then a bit of static. I could tell it was a female voice, but the message was so faint, the words could not be made out.

This scenario happened five more times. Exactly the same….

This was beginning to get on my already frazzled emotional state, so frustrated, I finally picked up the phone on the sixth call and said “I don’t know who this is and I can’t hear you.  You either have the wrong number or a bad connection.  It’s late.  Stop Calling!”

In the hopes of finding a call back number for these very invasive phone calls, I clicked on redial. It went nowhere. As a matter of fact after the dial was complete all I heard was a dial tone. So I went to check the number, again a mystery. For the last seven calls there was no name or number.

It was now almost 10:00 pm and I shut off the computer and went about closing up the house and getting ready for bed.

When I woke the next morning the phone displayed that I had one message. As I hit the play button to listen … once again …. . At first there was silence, then a clicking of the phone and then a bit of static. I could tell it was a female voice, but the message was so faint, the words could not be made out. What I did hear was “I’m trying to reach Tammye” ….  There were other words, but simply impossible to make out, even with the volume turned all the way up. Then more static and more clicking and then a hang up.

I am one to always pay attention to synchronicities … eight phone calls, each with eight rings and eight messages left, each the same as before.

I am not unnerved, but wildly curious about who it was, where they were coming from and why they called.
